13 best Muslim podcasts to listen to for daily inspiration

Podcasts are awesome. Between commuting to work and doing chores, I find myself listening to at least a couple of hours worth of shows each day on everything and anything, from book reviews and language learning to comedy and entertainment.

I set out to find podcasts with Muslim content or influence that I could make part of my daily listening. Here are some of the shows I found that I intend to follow.

Whether you’re already a podcast listener looking to add some Muslim shows to your podcast diet, or you’re new to podcasts and want to know how to get started, you’re likely to find something you like on this list.

However, because I’m new to some of the podcasts on this list, I’ve yet to be familiar with the different religious ideologies and schools of thought they advocate for. Proceed with caution, and take your time to choose the voices you feel like you can trust.

Getting started with podcasts

Podcasts are to radio what Netflix is to television. The main difference is that most podcasts are completely free to listen to.

A podcast show is made up of audio episodes that you can listen to on your phone or computer. To start listening to podcasts, just choose and download your favorite podcast app, and start following shows you’re interested in so that you can get the latest episodes.

iPhones come with the Apple Podcasts app pre-installed. On Android phones, you can use Google Podcasts. Most podcast creators also publish their shows on Spotify. There are plenty of other podcast apps to choose from, but while you’re still starting out, it’s a good idea to use one of those three popular apps.
